The equipment needed to make todays sound is so important whether your a guitar player or keyboard player.

Sophisticated Music software has also become an important part in recording and arranging your compositions. Logic, Cubase, Fruity Loops and Garageband to name a few.

Music has always walked hand in hand with technology, even hundreds of years ago. Beethoven and other composers were demanding extra notes from their pianos from makers of the day. This is so they could extend the range of their compositions. This is how we have the Grand Piano 88 note keyboard we accept as the norm today.

Occasionally I will highlight unusual musical instruments. When dealing with music production we should always be looking to sound different. Soundwise we should not just be a copy of the latest hit. Look at the great music producers of the past. Today we can do so much at home. With fast home computers and the relatively low cost of music technology achieving brilliant results is within the reach of every musician whatever their level.

Sometimes there are too many choices and it can be difficult to get that song recording out there for your fans to hear.
